Privacy Policy
This page covers what happens to your information when you use crawlkit.online. It is short, because we do not collect much.
1. Agreeing to this policy
Using this site means you are fine with what is written here. If you are not, please stop using the site.
2. What you type into the tools stays in your browser
The robots.txt generator runs on your own device. The paths, sitemap links and settings you enter never leave your browser. We do not receive them, store them or see them. Close the tab and they are gone.
3. The contact form
If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you send. That is delivered to our mailbox and used only to reply to you. We do not add you to any mailing list. You can ask us to delete your message at any time.
4. Server logs
Like almost every site, our server keeps standard access logs. Those record your IP address, your browser, your internet provider, the time you visited and the page that sent you here. We use them to keep the site running and to spot abuse. We do not connect them to your name or try to work out who you are.
5. Cookies and advertising
We may use cookies to remember your settings so you are not retyping the same thing every visit.
Your choice, and how to change it
The first time you visit, a banner asks what you are willing to allow. Until you answer, analytics and advertising cookies are switched off. Nothing is stored for those purposes before you choose.
You can accept everything, reject everything, or pick category by category:
- Strictly necessary. Needed for the site to work at all, including remembering this choice. Always on, and it cannot be turned off.
- Analytics. Google Analytics, so we can see which pages get used. Off unless you allow it.
- Advertising. Google AdSense, including personalised ads. Off unless you allow it.
Your answer is stored on your own device, not on our server, and it applies to this browser. To change it later, use the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of any page. Clearing your browser data resets the choice and the banner will ask again.
We pass your choice to Google using Google Consent Mode, so Google is told what it may and may not do before its tags do anything.
This site is free to use and is paid for by advertising. We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners show you ads based on your visits to this site and to other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some other vendors' cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Google explains how it uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings whenever you like. Some features may stop remembering your preferences if you do.
6. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, such as which pages get visited and roughly where visitors come from. Analytics sets its own cookies to tell returning visitors from new ones. The reports we see are aggregated and do not identify you personally. If you would rather not be counted, Google offers a browser add-on that blocks Analytics on every site.
7. Your rights
If you are in the EU, the UK or California, laws like GDPR and CCPA give you the right to ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or have it deleted. Just ask through the contact page. In practice there is very little to hand over, since the tools never send us your data in the first place.
8. Children
This site is not built for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you think a child has sent us something, get in touch and we will remove it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this page we will update the date at the top. Bigger changes will be noted on the page itself.
10. Contact
